In person Show season at West Niagara Agricultural Society FairGrounds was a GREAT Success:
Sanctioned EC show #1 was a GREAT success. Thank you, to Judge & Scribe; Rebecca & Andrew, our steward Marilyn, our outstanding Executive and their spouses, volunteers, members, and friends & family. Our new venue West Niagara Fair Grounds was a big success; fantastic ring footing, lovely buildings, washrooms, and stabling. Thank you to riders, and families, such is the DN legacy - so lovely to see DN Alumni; Kaytlyn, Cora-Lee & Catherine, now coaching and bringing DN students of their own. Results will be posted on the Compete Easy Ap.
Congrats to riders, and thank you to sponsors; Greenhawk, Bahrs, Canadian Horse Journals, Nickers & Nibbles, EquiSmart, Manon Turbe Holistic Touch Equine Massage, Balanced Body Works and to all our other sponsors, thank you.

2021 Test Riding Clinics & Virtual Challenge. For Rules Click HERE. 2021 Show series to stay safe from Covid will be presented as a series of Virtual test riding clinics with DN Judges - video tape any test from home, or your barn, upload to YouTube, send it in, and DN judges will provide test sheets, scores, and comments.
There's even a DN members Challenge for year end prizes and Freestyles. $15.00 per test for DN Members, $20.00 for non-members (membership is still available).
As per our licensing agreement with Equestrian Canada, we are unable to offer EC dressage tests through a virtual show platform. EC only allows the use of their dressage tests within sanctioned shows, for educational purposes, or clinics that do not issue scores or the ranking of athletes. Therefore, in order to continue with the Ride-A-Test challenge through August and September we will be offering CADORA and Western-Style Dressage tests in order to provide scores and comments from our judges!

2020 Shows Dates
For 2020 Shows we hosted Virtual Test riding clinics with dressage judges Janet Henderson & Lynne Poole
Virtual Test riding clinics can safely replace our show season - here's a riding report from Clinic participant Amber Ripa on her Virtual Test riding clinic experience in June & July 2020.
My Experience with the 2020 Dressage Niagara Virtual Clinics
I participated in the virtual clinics arranged by Dressage Niagara in June and July 2020, judged by Janet Henderson and Lynne Poole, respectively. This was Bellator and my second show season together, our first at First Level.
I was a little intimidated at first, seeing as my arena is not quite long enough and I wasn’t sure who would video, or how I would get the right set up, but my desire to get feedback on my training over the winter kept me moving forward and figuring out a solution so that I could participate in the virtual clinics.
Our arena is about 50m x 30m (approximately). We have a larger outdoor eventing ring, but with the permanent jumps and obstacles there, I felt the arena was my best option. Fortunately, I had buckets to act as letters, and used poles to set up the arena to a size of 50m x 20m. For the first level tests, this required that my leg yielding be a bit steeper, but otherwise, the ring size worked quite well.
