Welcome to Dressage Niagara
Dressage Niagara is a not-for-profit organization established in 1974 that supports dressage in the Niagara region (from the South shore of Lake Ontario to the North shore of Lake Erie, and from Niagara Falls in the East to Grimsby & Caistorville in the West).
Membership
Membership is open to anyone interested in dressage including riders and supporters, adults, families and juniors. While our members are dressage enthusiasts, they represent a wide range of experience and specific interests. Some are just starting on the dressage journey while others are showing at advanced levels.
All breeds of horses, ponies, and even mules are welcome to show dressage. Many riders take regular lessons from our excellent coaches located in Niagara. Others ride by themselves and are learning from videos and articles in books & magazines. All contribute to the growth and development of dressage in Niagara.
Shows & Clinics
Club activities include annual OEF Sanctioned Bronze and Silver Competitions run under Equine Canada regulations, plus a virtual show series. Competing at Silver level means you can qualify for Regional Championships--DN show scores count to compete at the end of the season against other regional and Cadora clubs. Bronze level is similar to "schooling", and scores count for DN shows only.
Dressage Niagara also hosts educational activities including riding clinics, seminars and dressage-focused social activities. We are open to everyone, you won't feel out of place or that you have to live a certain lifestyle, we all share a common interest in horses, and compete to better our training, with the help of our visiting judges' comments.
